Zinc

Zinc is essential for the function of immune cells and is a cofactor for more than 300 enzymes. It modulates both innate and acquired immunity, tissue integrity, protein synthesis, and inflammation. Zinc supplementation may alter the immune response in newly received feedlot cattle.

Chromium

Chromium is an essential trace element that improves cell sensitivity to insulin, improving tolerance to and recovery from stress. When bound to methionine, chromium is more readily absorbed post-ruminally in the gastrointestinal tract, allowing methionine to be freely available to improve health and production.

This OTM additive is available either as ZinMet 100, a lavender-coloured aqueous solution or ZinMet 50, a free-flowing dry form.

How is ZinMet packaged?

ZinMet 100 is packaged in 1,000kg modules while our ZinMet 50 is packaged in 20kg bags.

How do you store ZinMet?

ZinMet 100 and ZinMet 50 should be stored in a clean, cool and dry location.

What are the first signs that my livestock will need ZinMet?

What are the feeding recommendations for ZinMet?

Under normal conditions, we recommend feeding ZinMet 100 at 3.6g per head a day or ZinMet 50 at 7.2g per head a day for beef cattle. Can be fed at a 2X level when challenging situations occur.
